The Regional Censor Board in Chennai reviwed the Dhanush-Tamannaah starrer 'Padikkathavan' on the evening of January 5.
The film, being marketed by Sun Pictures, has been cleared with an 'UA' certificate with some minor cuts in the climax fight scene. The film is now slated for release on Pongal day (January 14). The audio of the film is yet to be released, but is expected to hit the market soon, without much fanfare.

Moser Baer Entertainment's and Sasi directed 'Poo' is turning out to be a classic in Tamil cinema. The film features Parvathi and Srikanth, a Sasi discovery.
This moving tale of love will now be awarded the Best Film award by Makkal TV at a grand ceremony on Bhogi Day, January 12th, to be held on the premises of Chettinad Vidyashram School, Raja Annamalaipuram in Chennai. incidentally, Makkal TV is the only Tamil channel which does not depend on or show Kollywood cinema clippings.

After finishing his 'Newtonin Moondram Vidhi', S J Suryah is busy calling the shots for the Telugu film 'Puli' with Pavan Kalyan in the lead. However, this does not mean that he's resorting to direction after years of trying to play the hero's role.
